  • **There is a question as to whether these recordings exist. However, there is no proof to the contrary. There also supposedly exists a twelve minute studio version of "Ooh, My Head" (5/58), a second version of "Let`s Rock & Roll", and some recordings of Ritchie in concert in Honolulu. The author personally knows of an extended version of the Pacoima Junior High School concert, owned by Gail Smith and recordings of the Silhouettes, owned by William Jones; also, there are some recordings of Ritchie in concert in Honolulu and a concert at San Fernando High School. To date, none of these recordings has been discovered and/or made available.
  • Addendum In October 1986, Rhino Records re-released its "Best of Ritchie Valens" album (Rhino 200) as part of its Golden Archive Series (RNLP 70178). In early 1987, the original three Del-Fi albums (1201, 1206, 1214) were also re-released by Rhino. In addition, Bob Keane has released on Del-Fi a 12" EP dance single (DF 1287) titled "La Bamba `87" which contains four new mixes of the song using the original vocal track and adding female back-up vocals, synthesizers, and other electronic effects.
  • The above discography was taken from "Ritchie Valens: The First Latino Rocker" by Beverly Mendheim, Bilingual Press, Hispanic Research, Arizona State University, Tempe, AZ 85287; 1987.

ARTIST GALLERY OHNE FOTOS !
